Weight Loss | The Quickest Way I Know To Lose Weight Naturally
Lose weight naturally; you are probably thinking that you wish you could. Well you can.
So is there some big secret to losing weight naturally. Yes and no is the answer to that question. The first thing is to understand why so many people have such a big problem when it comes to weight loss. The way of life for most of us these days is busy, busy, busy with no time allocated for ourselves. How many times have you said "there are not enough hours in the day"? You know you need to lose weight but how do you tackle it when there is no time in your day? You look for the quick fix. Don't feel too bad if you are reading this and recognise this as you, we all do it sometime.
The quick fix weight loss, lose weight quickly programs put you through hell, starving you into submission and maybe popping the odd pill or two to help things along. OK, so you do lose weight along with energy but gain the desire to hit the fridge and binge. Guess what, that resolve that you had when you started comes under pressure and you slip back into the same old bad eating habits.
Much better is to sit down and make an honest and frank look at your lifestyle and eating habits. More than likely that is where the root of the problem lies. Many of us sit behind a desk all day bashing away on a PC keyboard, we take the car or bus to work when we could really walk, and we rush a meal in the evening and plonk down in front of the television or even have the meal on a tray in front of the television. We make the excuse that we do not have the time to prepare and cook a meal and instead go for the microwave convenience food or pick up a takeaway on the way home.
How are you doing so far? We are human and have human failings, one of which for many of us is being told we are doing something wrong and that we need to change. In this instance it is you that has to be honest, criticise yourself, accept the criticism and take action.
A good place to start is by keeping a food diary. Again you have to be honest with yourself, it is no use slipping in that chocolate biscuit because you feel stressed and not putting it on the list because it does not really count, it does!
After a week or two take a close look at what you have been eating and drinking. Yes that includes sugary drinks and alcohol. Start by cutting out those little (not so) insignificant snacks. Instead of those cans of sugary drink have water. Even this will be hard, you will have withdrawal symptoms but you can beat it and that will be a big hurdle out of the way.
The next step is to look at your meals and find a way to eat good wholesome food in sensible sized portions. This is where you will need help and joining a good and well established weight loss program can help enormously. Learning the nutritious foods that you can eat and the portion sizes really does help mentally as you know what you are doing is right and that you are not wasting your effort. The fact that you have the support of the program and in many cases can share with others going through the same is a bonus worth having.
Add exercise to your routine, it does not have to be a couple of hours sweating in the gym; take a twenty or thirty minute stroll. Maybe you can walk to work or perhaps take a stroll in your lunch hour.
Natural weight loss is far more beneficial and sustainable in the long term. Before setting out on any major changes to your diet or exercise routine always consult your doctor and have a check-up.
